How Much Does a Disney World Trip Cost in 2027? A Real Budget for a Family of Four
A family of four spending five nights at Disney World in 2027 should plan on about $5,900 for a careful trip, about $7,900 for a comfortable one, and $13,000 or more if you stay at a Deluxe resort. Those totals include flights. Here is where every dollar goes and where I trim it for the families I book.
The short answer
For two adults and two kids ages 3 to 9, five nights, four park days, flying in:
Value budget (Pop Century, quick-service meals, low-season dates): about $5,900.
Moderate budget (Caribbean Beach, one table-service meal a day, mid-season dates): about $7,900.
Deluxe budget (Polynesian, character meals, peak dates): about $13,000.
WDW Prep School's 2027 estimates land in the same range, at roughly $5,530, $7,630, and $11,210 for the same three tiers. My numbers run a little higher because I include Lightning Lane and airport transfers, which most calculators leave out.
Tickets: the biggest fixed cost
Disney raised 2027 ticket prices in April 2026. A one-day adult Magic Kingdom ticket now runs $139 to $219 before tax depending on the date, up $20 from 2026. EPCOT is $129 to $214, Hollywood Studios $139 to $209, Animal Kingdom $119 to $189.
Multi-day tickets bring the per-day price down. A 4-day adult ticket costs $523 to $773 with tax ($131 to $193 a day), and a 5-day ticket $570 to $871. Kids 3 to 9 pay about $20 less; under 3 is free. Park Hopper adds $90 to $112 per person on a multi-day ticket.
For a family of four on 4-day base tickets, budget $2,050 in the cheapest weeks and $3,050 in the most expensive. If you are going in 2026 instead, the 4-Park Magic ticket is $99.75 a day (about $399 for four days) for travel through September 26, 2026, which is the best ticket deal Disney has run in years.
Lightning Lane: the cost nobody budgets
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, the paid ride-reservation system, costs $21 to $39 per person per day at Magic Kingdom in 2026 and $15 to $33 at the other parks. For four people over four park days that is $340 to $620. Skip it at EPCOT and Animal Kingdom if you arrive at opening; buy it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. The Premier Pass, which lets you walk onto everything, is $169 to $449 per person per day at Magic Kingdom. I have never recommended it to a family of four.
Hotels: where the budgets split
Disney's published 2027 rates for a standard room, tax included, per night:
Value: All-Star Movies $159 to $312, Pop Century $219 to $354.
Moderate: Caribbean Beach $330 to $471, Port Orleans Riverside $336 to $461.
Deluxe: Contemporary Garden Wing $680 to $1,218, Polynesian $839 to $1,372, Grand Floridian $886 to $1,330.
Five nights at Pop Century is $1,100 to $1,770. Caribbean Beach is $1,650 to $2,350. The Polynesian is $4,200 to $6,900.
Off-site changes the math. A hotel near Disney Springs with a shuttle runs about $120 a night, and a Kissimmee condo with a kitchen is often $80 to $120 a night less than a Value room. The trade is transportation: theme park parking is $35 a day for off-site guests and free for Disney resort guests, and you lose the early entry that resort guests get.
Food: plan on $180 to $270 a day for four
Disney's 2027 dining plans price out what a day of food costs on property. The Quick-Service plan is $62.78 per adult and $25.82 per child per night, so $177 a night for a family of four, and covers two counter-service meals and a snack each. The standard plan with one table-service meal is $99.87 and $31.94, or $264 a night for four.
You do not have to buy a plan to spend that. A table-service dinner for four runs $120 to $180, character meals are $60 to $90 per adult, and Hoop-Dee-Doo is $70 to $78 per adult. For 2026 packages, kids 3 to 9 eat free on the dining plan on all dates, which is worth about $130 a night for a family with two kids.
Flights and getting around
The average domestic fare into Orlando was $274 in the most recent federal data, well below the national average of $387, because so many airlines compete for the route. Budget $1,100 for four, more from the West Coast or over spring break.
Mears Connect, the shared shuttle from the airport to Disney resorts, is $33.60 round trip per adult and $27.30 per child, about $122 for the family. An Uber is $35 to $55 each way. A rental car is $30 to $60 a day plus that $35 parking if you stay off property.
The extras that add up
A double stroller rental at the parks is $31 a day. Memory Maker, the photo package, is $185 if bought in advance. Souvenirs average about $50 a person. Travel insurance runs 4% to 8% of the trip. Put $300 to $600 in the extras line and you will not be surprised.
When Disney is cheapest in 2027
Disney's own pricing calendar bottoms out January 19 to February 5, May 17 to 26, and August 16 to September 30, 2027. Disney also released its first 2027 discounts on September 10: up to 25% off rooms for stays January 3 to April 29, and up to $250 a night off select four-night packages January 3 to July 28. The same five-night trip that costs $7,900 in June comes in around $6,900 in late January once the cheaper tickets and the room discount are applied.
What I do to bring the number down
I book the room when the window opens, then re-book it the day a discount comes out; Disney lets you apply the new offer to an existing reservation while rooms last. I put families on the 2026 4-Park Magic ticket if their dates fit. I move Florida residents and military families onto their own ticket programs, which cut 30% or more. I skip Lightning Lane at two of the four parks. None of that costs you anything. Disney pays me, and you pay the same price you would pay Disney directly.
Questions I get every week
How many days do we need? Four park days and five nights is the sweet spot for a first trip. Three park days works if you skip one park.
Is 2027 more expensive than 2026? Yes. Tickets went up $10 to $20 a day and rooms rose at every tier, with Value rooms crossing $300 on some spring dates.
Is the dining plan worth it? Only if you would eat one sit-down meal a day anyway. For quick-service families it usually costs more than paying as you go.
Does booking through a travel advisor cost more? No. Disney pays the commission. You get the same price, plus someone who sets the alarms for dining and Lightning Lane windows.
